The film Chhaava’s makers unveiled Akshaye Khanna’s look as Aurangzeb, the powerful Mughal emperor. He will face off against Vicky Kaushal’s Chhatrapati Sambhaji in the movie. Akshaye’s transformation is stunning, with long white hair and a beard making him almost unrecognizable as the fierce Aurangzeb. His new look poster has set the internet ablaze, prompting interesting reactions from fans.

He radiates intensity in the poster, his piercing gaze seeming to dare his enemies as his hair falls across his face. In another image, he’s crowned with the Mughal emperor’s regalia, perfectly capturing the essence of the formidable and ruthless Aurangzeb.
Social media users flooded the comments section with praise for Akshaye’s impressive transformation, saying he looks perfect for the role. Fans were wowed, with comments like “Akshaye is a young legend, look at him…damn!” and “Awesome look, wowwww!” A user predicted that Akshaye alone with take over the cast of the film. “This man will overshadow the entire cast, the 90s stars are back in full form – Bobby Deol, Sunny Deol, and now this gentleman.” “Akshaye Khanna will certainly do justice to this role. The makers earlier shared the first look poster of Rashmika Mandanna, who is set to portray the character of Maharani Yesubai, wife of Chhatrapati Sambhaji. Netizens were not quite impressed with her look and trolled the makers for casting her in the role.
Directed by Laxman Utekar, Chhaava also stars Ashutosh Rana and Divya Dutta in pivotal roles, beside Vicky, Rashmika and Akshaye. Backed by Maddock Films, it is set to arrive in the theatres on February 14, 2025.
